Smile Max Energy?

What is the max energy possible for a Ranger and how to get max?

I do not seem to have very much

Here is my attribute setup and runes:

Beast Mastery 5
Expertise 12+2
Wilderness Survival 1
Marksmanship 13+3
Restoration 3
Channeling 10

Runes
Expertise +2 (above)
Marksmanship +2 (above)
Rune of Major Vigor

Cant think of anything else you might need to know, just ask

Thanks!!

Attributes will not affect energy unless on an eke using energy storage.

to increase your energy, add radiant insignias and runes of attunement for 2 energy each.

IronSheik is correct: 85 is the max for ranger before morale boost or other PvE modifiers.
As for how:
5 Radiants(8)
5 Attunements(10)
+15, -1 Wand(15)
+15, -1 Focus(27) Must meet the attribute requirement.
Base energy for Ranger is 25, add them all up.

The attributes in the first post are impossible. Maybe you meant:

Beast Mastery: 4+1(5)
Expertise: 10+2 (12)
Wilderness Survival: 1
Marksmanship: 10+1+2(13)
Restoration: 3
Channeling: 10

85?
.... and then play in an Asura area with maxed Asura title +15... use a Birthday Cupcake +10, Candy Apple +10, Grail of Might +10.

130?

And a little more if you give yourself a 10% morale boost (powerstone, rainbow candy cane, honeycomb, pumpkin cookie etc)...

25 Armour
+1+2+3+1+1 Insignias
+2+2+2+2+2 Runes
+15+15+12 Wand+Focus
85

+cons,asura,moral etc = ~120+
Cant be bothered doing more.

You're right MisterB I had the atts posted wrong. I also should have been more clear in saying "max with a BOW" and not a wand etc.
I will add the insignias etc. I appreciate the suggestions given.
I have reported the rude non relevant posts.

I think you'll find no one cares about rude posts as long as they're not insulting.

Rather than increasing your max energy you might want to try getting your Expertise to 13 to reduce 5e skills to 2e. You likely don't need that much in marks if you're taking Channeling for Splinter Weapon. Splinter adds so much damage that it makes any amount of marksmanship look pathetic.

You might want to post your build and ask for suggestions on managing energy because no matter how much energy you have, the bar doesn't refill faster.

I have only 27 energy (outside of asuran areas) and never have any problems, even with a 10 en cost PvE skill. 13 expertise is a must however, because it drops 5 en to 2, 15 en to 7, and 25 en to 12. If you have 10 point ranger, ritual, or touch skills slotted then get 14, that gets you from 5 to 4 on those. But 13 is the mainstay for most people. Throw in a zealous bow or at least have one on switch and energy for the most part shouldn't be a problem at all.

The only time I ever really worried about lots of energy was back in the old days solo trapping the UW. But that was along time ago.

But as someone said high marksmanship is almost a waste, best thing to do is watch the amounts change as you go up and down for each attirbute and figure out which one give more bang for the buck. But IMO anything over 10 (I try not to go above 8 {I have an old 8 req bow} if I use a secondary profession skill) isn't needed.

But really the most efficient splinter weapon buff is going to come from some sort of ritualist, primary or secondary, hero. Even if you have to "f" micro it on yourself. With barrage/volley you'll have to basically spam it anyway either on yourself or with your hero, so you'll get used to it after awhile.

And what rude and innerelevent posts are these? I cannot locate any within this thread.

Your attributes seem spread, I would dump points for Resto and put them into BM, or the other way around, or drop both completely to add an extra rank in one of your main attributes.

Thanks Paladin - would I post my build here in the ranger section?
I am just running a build I found on gamependium. I know the Splinter Weapon was nerfed but I did further reading and read that it still worked pretty well?

I do not do well with the rudeness and the whole "oh you're so stupid and your build is stupid and you need to go back to Ranger school" bit? Someone was realllly rude to me once on this forum and I flamed them right back. I was given a warning and told to just use the "Report" button instead, so I did that.

I cannot really help it if some parts of the game are hard for me to understand and I thought that is what this forum was for, not to be bashed about not "getting" something. I'm a woman, I've never played a MMORPG before this one ever. The only thing I played before this was Mario with my kid LOL

I HAVE been playing for 3 years and have finished all 4 campaigns but I OBVIOUSLY do not play every day as I have responsibilities. And now that things in the game are getting more challenging I find myself wanting to change things around since I played all 4 campaigns with basically the same setup which was just barrage and some other 5 point bow skills with troll unguent and my pets skills and 1 monk skill. But hey I made it! LOL And I mainly henched them all.

And I must say when I changed to this current build with SW is when I began noticing I wasn't doing as well.

Which brings me to Wiz's suggestion which I LOVE!
I had never thought of putting SW on a hero der me.
The heroes I normally run though are the Sabway necro trio and one of them even already has it!! how about that? LOL

So I'd like to post my build and ask for suggestions and even say, you know, what I WAS running and what my goal is. I mean I basically h/h the game the whole way as most of the pickup groups are just so rude and impatient and I have not been able to find a good guild. I've just 3 guilds and either none of them are all that active, or all they do is bicker in guild chat, or they want your first born and an eye of newt to consider giving you an interview yanno?

Well rangers have a ton of builds that will work, because they are so diverse. And they can utilize their experise with 2 other classes skill set that also adds a lot depending on your play style.

If you're running mostly sabway heroes, then yeah you'l have splinter weapon already.

In those cases it is so easy mode anyway, except for a few hardmode spots without a lot of corpses, then you at least switch out your MM or re-bar him, your ranger can do a lot of different things.

But these days I basically run with an all ranger attributes listing. 14 exp, 12 wilderness, and 11 marksmanship. I know a lot of those points are "wasted" but I just keep my bar the same most of the time.

Troll ungeant (rarely have to even use so maybe a 'wasted' skill), flame trap, barbed trap, light of deldrimor, summon mursaat(or any summon youmight have), distracting shot, barrage, crossfire/pointblank/ or another interupt skill. And sometimes I will take only one trap and run with a ebon battle standard.

But basically it is about getting all the mobs in a ball microing splinter on myself, and spamming barrage. Also don't under estimate those traps, they do damage and can sometimes save your team if you get too much in close aggro becaue them going off scatters the mobs. Counteracts barrage obviously, but will definately save your squishies.

Like I said there are a million builds for rangers. I will even run a pet heavy bar some times just for a change, because basically all I do is spam barrage in most cases.
